It's no secret. Nameless Puppy and the Neato XV-21 were sworn enemies until the bitter end. The problem was, that vacuum had no respect for Nameless Puppy's boundaries. Like a typical robot vac, once you set up the Room Positioning System, it would be steadfast in its course. So Nameless Puppy gave its sensor a good chomp, and it finally bit the dust.

Much to his displeasure, it was promptly replaced by a Neato XV-11 the very next day. Nameless Puppy was sure this one would be like the last, meticulously cleaning every inch of the floors in a methodical straight-line pattern, including the crumbs of Milk Bone he was totally saving for later.

Surely this new adversary would disregard Nameless Puppy's designated territory like the last, simply driving through one of its "recognized doorways" to start cleaning the next room, only desisting to return to its base for recharging before resuming its trespassing where it left off.

Then, one day, as Nameless Puppy was sitting by Weird Lady's feet, mentally willing her to drop a piece of the roast beef she was carving up for dinner, the Neato XV-11 ran right into the back of her feet. It startled her, and when she jumped, she dropped a piece of the meat which Nameless Puppy snatched up instantly.

It couldn't have been a fluke. The Neato XV-11's Room Positioning System gave it a full 360-degree view of the room, which it used to create a map to detect walls, furniture and other obstacles. No. That bump was intentional.

Nameless Puppy knew in that instant that this new Neato wasn't his enemy. It was his partner in crime.
