When faced with the option of making hard choices to help others, or returning to the comfort of what you know, what is the right thing to do? That's at the core of Bennett Windheim's new play "Normalcy", which tackles tough topics like identity, race and terrorism in a searing, thoughtful drama. When an affluent white couple attempts to adopt a black child, they are faced with unexpected and unintended consequences that shape their previously blissful lives. Taking a brutal look at transracial adoption, "Normalcy" will strike a chord and make you think. Several shows also will feature talk backs with the author, producers and directors to help flesh out the themes explored in the play.
