Grab a friend and meet in the evening at the Appalachian Mountain Club's Mohican Outdoor Center in Blairstown, NJ for a broad overview on gear, trail ethics, campsite selection, Leave No Trace and other basics of backpacking. After a night spent in comfortable lodging in the area, you'll wake up early to head down to the Delaware Water Gap, where you'll start your backpacking trip up the Appalachian Trail. Spend the night in a site selected during the hike along the trail, enjoying a night under the stars, away from all the city lights. Waking refreshed and relaxed, pack up the site and reverse the hike toward back to the starting point. Evolve your weekend routine, and your backpacking game.
